18/11/2006 Terrell Academy Eagles VS Dawson Street WildcatsWell, tonight (actually last night now that it's after 2 AM) my nephew Daniel (#55) and his team, the Terrell Academy Eagles (who are the Region champs), played their first (of three) State Playoff game. They played against the Dawson Street Christian Academy Wildcats, a team from LaGrange, GA. The Eagles whooped the Wildcats 47-8!!! They've only got two more games to win to make State Champions!! Haven't found out who they'll play next Friday yet but it will be another Home game. After the game tonight, my parents and my sister Lisa (Daniel's mom) all went to San Joe's to eat again. They have delicious food and great frozen margaritas (you can get regular too). I just found out tonight too that they actually have another restaurant that is in Albany. It is right downtown next to Harvest Moon. As I told you before, if you go, you have to try the Grilled Chicken with Cheese Quesadillas, they are great! Well, that's it for this session. I'll be back next Friday to let you know what happened at my nephew's game. Later!
UPDATE (12/24/06, yeah I'm late posting this news): My nephew Daniel and his team, The Terrell Academy Eagles, lost their 2nd State Game by a score of 28-13 on November 24th and therefore are out of the running for State Champs.
 But they still did a great job this season with an 11-2 record and my nephew can Graduate with his head held high! 12/11/2006 Latest Gay Marriage News

10/11/2006 Terrell Academy Eagles STOMP Randolph Southern Patriots!Tonight, at an Away Game in Randolph County, my nephew Daniel (#55) and the rest of his football team, the Terrell Academy Eagles, stomped the Randolph Southern Patriots by a score of 54-8!!! Yeah!! Congratulations Eagles!! Their record is now 10-1!!! Take it all the way to the state championship!! Not sure when and where the next game is but you know I will let you know as soon as I find out, lol. Later!
 4/11/2006 Terrell Academy Eagles VS Citizens Christian PatriotsWell, my Nephew Daniel (#55) and the rest of his team, the Terrell Academy Eagles, beat the Citizens Christian Patriots by a score of 42-20 just a couple hours ago! This was their Homecoming Game so I'm glad they won. Their record is now 9-1 (9 wins, 1 loss). I think we really could have beat them by more than that but, and my bro-in-law overheard this conversation, the Citizens Christain's Chaplain came over at half time (when we were leading 35-0) and asked our coaches if they would go easy on them the 2nd half of the game because many of the parents at their school were already wanting to get rid of their football program because they were doing so poorly. I do believe that Terrell's coaches decided to do just that, because right after Half Time, in the 3rd Quarter, they put in a lot of 2nd & 3rd String players, something they usually don't do until the 4th Quarter if were so far ahead. Needless to say, once the Patriots got 3 touchdowns in a row, the Terrell coach put his 1st String players back in (right at the beginning of the 4th Quarter, the time when they are usually putting in the 2nd & 3rd String) and guess what, WE scored again. IMO, they should NEVER try to "take it easy" on a team or be nice in that sense. This is football and a game! You should go at it with your all the whole game. |
